Doors

I just wanted to see what the consensus is on having the doors off. I just ordered replacement mirrors and have had them off before, but do you guys just stay on local roads or highways too? Do you need tube frame doors for hwys?

I'm in Pittsburgh and have never had trouble with my doors off. If you're asking about it being legal?

If anyone gives you problems it will be the local cops, there are some towns that are notorious for pulling people over with no doors, I pass the state troopers on the highway all the time with no problem.

I've never had an issue, knock on wood. I drive both local and highway, just make sure I belt up.

I've heard its mostly locals that give ya issues, so..

Only thing they'll get ya for is no mirrors (unsafe vehicle). Biggest thing I worry about is getting stuck in the rain but that's happened twice this year already. So far so good.

haha I watch the forecast hard now that I have my top and doors off almost all summer. Got caught once, but just happened to have the top still attached and parked under a bridge for awhile.

Soooo....doorless is legal as long as you have mirrors in PA?

I just took the doors off, and fabricated a set of mirrors using ATV add on mirrors, and have been enjoying the open air in all this heat. Seen other jeeps around in similar trim....but I don't want a ticket either.

I haven't had a problem in 3 years living in the Pittsburgh area and I just have a mirror on the drivers side.

As long as your rear view mirror is on the windshield and works you are fine
