isn't the white of the light supposed to be at the bottom?
and flipping it would change that, so why flip it?

On TJ's the reverse lamp is in the top of the lamp from the factory. No, I don't know why they designed it that way.

that is how you do it on a cj7. ya know they didn't have all of this new fangled technology back then in 1983.

it's a franken jeep, but there is more cj7 than anything else. the body tub, windshield, seat risers, and starter are yj. the engine, trans, frame, front axle, t-case, rims, front fenders, hood, roll cage, and more stuff are cj. ooooh, but it is fuel injected now!!! no more crappy ass carb for me.

I just joined today and this post had me laughing. I called my husband in from outside and read a little of it to him and he also asked why anyone would flip the taillight? LOL. Any way I then reminded him that when we bought our Jeep 3 years ago one of our lights was flipped and we couldn't figure out why and we flipped it back. Now I will be driving around checking out everyone's butts to see if theirs are flipped. LOL. Thanks for the chuckle. Jenn

Why would you get pulled over?

This thread should be retitled "It's a PA Thing, You Wouldn't Understand."

... 'cause it's true.
