The blue ridge jeepers jeep club is doing a trail clean up of trash at a location not yet determined on April 26th.

I will have more information on the 18th. Please check their webpage; Blueridgejeepers.

I hope you can come out and help with this good trail/park stewardship . Meet some local jeepers.

At the request of the PA DCNR, Michaux State Forest Office, we'll once again be returning to the Vista View Overlook on Oak Road, just above Penn State University, Mont Alto Campus. This vista view ranks as one of the top problem spots in all of the Michaux State Forest. This will be our second trip to this location after our initial cleaning in 2011 (see vid link below). This location is currently by no means anywhere as bad as our original clean-up, however, it is definitely in need of attention. Due to the terrain of this location, this will be an ages 12 and up clean-up. We'll be meeting at the Keystone Family Restaurant in Waynesboro (details below). This will be both our breakfast and departure location for our clean-up (details below). Here's a checklist of items to bring as well as items to make your day more comfortable . . .

> Please bring lanscaping tools such as hand pruners, tree pruners, hand saws, and items for clearing brush and small trees.

> Work gloves, boots, long pants, and clothes you won't mind getting dirty.
> Recovery gear such as winch, straps, etc (if owned)
> A hand washing station, rubber gloves, and bottled water will be provided by BRJ
> Mike and Eric will be bringing a small utility trailer to haul refuse
