I'd like to check it out some time. I did see the access from the apartments but wasn't sure cause it only looked like a bike path from google earth. I might have a day next week, I'll pm you if it frees up. Are you available during the week day?

Went to the airport on tuesday.... It was actually pretty sweet dirty as shit, but has mud water rocks and even a steep uphill downhill section. I slaughtered it in my Yj a girlfriend of mine in her Cherokee failed. A couple spines and a lot of rocks and water. All in all well worth the trip if your only a couple minutes away. I took island ave all the way down to the airport and made that right onto ft Mifflin rd and it was right there. Just look for the sand.

Turn right on Ft. Mifflin after left curve its about .3 miles on the left. Can't miss it, looks like a garbage dump, that's why I haven't tried it yet, it looks like people dump a lot of crap there.

I took island ave... And it was almost right after I turned onto ft Mifflin I don't know from 95... But its worth it if your near by. Only takes about an hour to run all the trails bit you cab blaze new ones not too bad. We spent maybe 2 hours driving around. Mad trash but its off to the side trails are clear though. All in all I'm glad I went and ill probably do it again.

I just came across this thread. I skimmed over it but didn't read every line so sorry if I repeat. Im trying to find where the spot is off of Rt 1 near penndell/langhorne.

There is a car show in Abington on Sunday Oct 2nd at the North Penn VFW sponsored by the marine corps league. Is benefits wounded soldiers and warriors accross seas. Anyway, I want to get my YJ covered in mud and enter it in. Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome. Its all for a good cause. It is a awesome show too.

If I can't get to a place nearby, I guess I will be driving to the pines for a quick visit, if I can control myself...
Thanks all

beginnersluck,

that spot has been closed for years, the PD watch it like a hawk, they had concrete barriers block off the entire area. If you wann check it out, as you travel NB on Rt 1 exit at the penndel exit as you come around the curve look to your right and you,ll see all the barriers

I did hear something about it being closed down. Oh well. Then plan B. Where's the closest place I can get completely muddy? Anyone know? I have been to the airport but really don't want to rush the flat tires getting in or out of there. Is there a good mud hole in the pines? I found a few out therebut they were dried up even after the rain..

Hey mpbannon60,

I wanted to go to the airport. I've been trying to find out whether it's illegal or not, but it seems to be safe to play in there.

I'm goint to the Quadratec event on Saturday, but Sunday would probably be a good day to give that place a try. My wrangler is totally stock (yet), but I want to give it a try. What do you think?

I was just at the C&D canal & had a blast played on hills then got really muddy! A few other people were there too. Thinking about going back this weekend.

after doing some (not much) looking around, I have found there not to be much of any trails or locations to jeep around in...am I wrong? Im sure there are some relatively close to philly..maybe somewhere in bucks county or perhaps just over the bridge in jersey? Im not equipped for any major off-road trails but would like to go out for even the ride thru..any thoughts or knowledge of such trails?

Pine barrens is the closest, largest. Its in the Wharton state park, NJ, its free and there are tons of trails (something like 70 miles I think), mostly level but lots of water holes. Its about an hour from Philly.
