I'd love to but have to work Saturday. If it was Sunday I would go... Was in the Pines about 11 years ago, great place to go, sand get's in everything so check your fluids when you get back home, kinda looks like milkshake if water and sand in there.

This is where you go! I have been to the green dots, the blue dots just look awesome on Satelite views which is pretty much how I find stuff EVERYWHERE! I am running a 90% hit rate on blue dots too.

Any speed bumps (cops, overzealous park rangers, etc.) we should worry about?

I could go Sunday or Saturday. If more people are available for Sunday, I'm game.

There is a jeep event not too far from there on Saturday........jeeps at the vineyard . I hear 185 jeeps registered .

It's over like 1:30 .... I bet a group will be heading out after the event.

Grassroots jeep is running it.

I'll be there and hope to go wheeling afterwards

What's the word guys? Looks like registration for the Jeep at the Vineyard is closed. They said they'll take some at the gate, don't know if I want to risk the drive out there to get turned away.

Who want's to go wheeling anyway? Sound off for Saturday or Sunday at the Pines!

Sunday at ten works for me. Any body else in? Should we plan to meet somewhere in or around Philly before we head down?

I'm good for Sunday at 10. I would prefer to meet someone in Philly. Pick a spot, I get off work around 7:30 in the morning with a little time to change and get ready. How long does it take to get to pic, about 40 mins. from Philly I think? Been a long time since I been there. Anyway also have work that evening so I will be bugging out around 2 I would think.

For anyone still looking for another airport spot if you go passed fort mifflin(with it being on your left), it's about a mile past also on the left its in a abandoned road called Alantic Ave. it looks like a drag strip, and you can access trails on either end of the 'dragstrip', preferably the side closest to fort mifflin you go up a little hill to get into it, or about 30ft closer I the river there is a 2nd entrance with a small waterhole. Never been bothered by police but I'm not saying it's not possible. I live in Essington which is actually where this trail is, fort mifflin is the border line of Philly/Essington. Enjoy!

This was from back there:

Had a good run through the pines today. Still amazed at how much the stock JKU suspension can do. I didn't really have any trouble today.

Awesome to meet some local guys and chill on the trails. Bummer 1984 cj71987's battery died on the trail, glad it was only the battery and not his alternator! Definitely looking forward to getting even more people out there next time!

That sucks. He has one hell of a Jeep. I know it is better than 90% of them you see on the trails. I took a look under it last weekend.

A big thanks to Jakbak and Proxy for spending the time and energy to help me get the jeep home. The battery voltage is holding at 12.4, which is not good. Altenator is not charging enough. Prob. get it rebuilt since it's a 200amp green one. Get a used one in the meanwhile. Thanks again and still had a blast.
Thanks for the words overkill. When your ready overkill we want to hit that spot.

I might have a spare alternator that fits your CJ. I think I kept it in the shed when I converted from the 4.2 to the 4.0. If it's there, you are welcome to it.

Me and two of my local wrangler friends who aren't on the forum are setting up for a Wharton/Pines run next Saturday. 3 of us so far, may have another and a ZJ and XJ with us too. Haven't hammered out the details yet but we will be making it down there.

Brian,
I got your message, thanks for looking and appreciate the call. I have been busy sorry about not calling back. Still messing with the electrical. Have a battery draw somewhere. Maybe alternator diodes stuck. Anywaty got battery charge going out today to multimeter it and try to find the drain. thanks for the invite.
