Over the summer I could still consider it wetland. Not at all now its just plain terrible. All along the creek where it used to be one or two trails following it there used to be a buncha tall grass. All that is knocked down about 30 yards inland and rutted out. Can't recognize the place. One ditch I was familair with is literally 4 or 5 times as wide with ruts

I was just there three weeks ago a day after rain. After leaving I found out what happened there the weekend before. I like that place all torn up though. Makes it more difficult. Its not fun if your not getting stuck. I could tell it flooded recently too.

I know I wasn't ready for it, creek definitely got up pretty high. Come summer when I'm locked up front I'll make out a whole lot better. You can have fun with your MT's I"ll find a way to keep up

Looks like there's going to be a trip on the 7th. Once you find a couple places to wheel around, check the local forums for that area. The Pine Barrens are a hot spot mainly because it's not illegal. So keep an eye on the NJ forum to see if anyone posts anything about a new run.

The last run's thread is here: Jeep outing , March 17, Sunday Wharton (NJ Pine Barren). Lot of talk about the 7th so it looks like that will happen!

I should probably mention if you find a good spot around, don't say too much on the forum about it. Penndel got ruined for us that way. Don't want to risk anymore good spots.

I'm coming from Manayunk so I'll probably meet you guys down there, 76 is my route. If we have some people coming from south philly or not taking the turnpike that want to hook up there's a parking lot off 76 at the Holiday Inn across from the Philadelphia Turf Club. It's about 45 min from there to pic-a-lilli. Let me know if any of you want to meet there.

Haven't had a chance to put the new one on yet. It's sitting in a box in my living room judging me. I'm going to get some more cable and figure out how to mount the solenoids under the hood. That should help keep it cleaner.

First Jeep

I just got my first jeep and I'm itching to get it muddy. I am out of Malvern but work in west chester and go to school in Haverford. Any trails near by?

Keep an eye on this thread. We usually try to keep talk about trails we find off the threads. We've lost a few good areas to the park rangers and it wasn't a problem until the names started showing up on here. Wharton, NJ is a great place to go. Legal too. Every now and then someone will ask who's up to go out and they'll just say stuff like "You need a lift" or "Everyone should be good." Plan a place to meet and head to the trail from there. That way we keep the locations away from the po-po.

Also pop over to the NJ area threads and check them out. This one, Jeep outing , March 17, Sunday Wharton (NJ Pine Barren), has been good info and I think everyone is kind of planning an over night trip semi-soon too.
