There's a wheeling trip to rausch creek saturday. There's usually several of those that pop up.

Interested in some light wheeling as well. But seems like I'm slowly turning the jeep into a mall crawler...

Where is the place around the airport? I'm like 5 mins away.

Centralia is an old coal mining town... The mine caught fire andhas been smoldering since the 60s its the $#!% when it comes to wheeling and takes creepy photos and videos too... Last I was there wasn't a cop or person in site... Takes a while to get there though almost 3 hours from south philly

yeah, it's seriously creepy especially as the sun starts going down. there are still some places where smoke pours from the ground. I'm pretty sure there are only like 3 or 4 people left who live there, you have to go through an abandoned interstate section, possibly some of the most treacherous driving you have to take it real slow cause there are some holes that are 3 ft + deep and 8 feet + diameter. imagine hitting something like that at 40 mph!!!! not a bad idea to buckle up.

it's really fairly mild, with some serious stuff thrown in that's easy enough to avoid, anyone here heard of a trailhead in limerick, i'm in kop not too far from it and would be able to hit it after work sometime if anyone knows where it's at, also i think i've located the airport trail just around the bend on fort mifflin road, they dump mad bodies there though... and it looks like a dump but may be worth it after work one of these days. if anyones interested i can do tues fri sat. after work... like 530 pm or sun. mon. all day long. i'd love to get a chance to head out there for a little fun, but would prefer a pic, considering i have no winch, and cause the old girl likes to crap out on me every now and then. (thankfully she's not so tired she can't be brought back to life on the go... and i'm a professional jig rigger!!!.) anybody here fish too? plus a little maryjane?

I don't think so but I haven't been to one yet, was hoping to go this year. I think you only pay if you are going to participate in the events.

Wow $195 per adult do they give you a message at the end of the day. I thought they Pine Barrens were free. I haven't been back there since the mid 80's boy have things changed.

Well I read into it more, you have to register for the full 2 day event its a guided tour, depending on the package meals are/aren't included. Sounds like fun but not sure how good it would be at the Pine Barrens. Might be worth it in the mountains or out west.

I was looking at these on google earth and read the link you posted, they are accessed via the RR track, is that legal? let us know how you make out.
