Let's try to keep this one alive. Both our Bucks, Philly, and a couple other threads are dead in the water.
I'm in Langhorne, PA. Can find me posting in SEPA off road occasionally. Might see your post in Wicked Jeeps or PA jeeps, but I don't contribute much there.
I always wheel in Jersey since Penndel and the airport have been pretty much on lock down. Have my favorite spot that's full of hills, but know of plenty of trails that are just puddles or mud.
Open almost every weekend, be it for wrenching or wheeling.
I hit up WSP from time to time, but really want to get to going more often. I've also been interested in checking out the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area. I think it'd be cool if we just got together and shot the shit for a while too. I'll follow this thread
Main spot is off exit 8A on 42. I always make sure to hit up a couple Jersey guys when I make the run. Enough space for at least 5 rigs. I know that because I went with one buddy and didn't run into these other two guys until an hour or two in. Had no idea they were there. Wanna say about 30 wash outs/hill climbs.
I haven't been to Penndel in maybe...2 years? People got taken out in cuffs and I didn't go back till 6 months later. Just me and one other jeep right after it flooded. Couldn't even get to the creek from being so torn up. Couldn't tell ya what the current state of affairs is. I would be more willing since it's literally 5 minutes from me, but it's a "protected wetland."
I am near Lansdale/Montgomeryville Pa. Got my first jeep this past December and still waiting for the big snow! I am going to try to get to Rausch Creek this Spring and try the 101 training ride. My hand is getting tired of waving at jeeps, I must see 3-5 per day around here.
I belonged to a Honda S2000 forum that had sub-forums for various regions. It was nice to be able to start a topic under a common group. It made it easy to follow what was going on in the region.
I'm def down to do some off-roading. Stock jeep so far but willing to give it a go. Hopefully we can set something up, be cool to chat it up with Yall and do some playing
Open any weekends coming up, besides the 14th. So everyone shoot a preferred date and we'll do it? My spot is about 20 minutes over the Walt Whitman in Jersey.
There's places to wheel around blackwood? Never knew that. I usually just go to Wharton since it's pretty close to me. I'd definitely be down for a trip to Rausch Creek. I was planning on going the weekend of June 6th for the 101 class since that would be a birthday gift to myself, but I'm not sure I want to wait that long. This is myself and my wife's first jeep as well and at the moment it's only on a budget boost with stock tires. Although to be honest I'm a little hesitant to head out to either in the next few weeks. Gonna be really muddy and sticky for a while, and I haven't bought a winch yet.
Indeed there is. Much better than Wharton, IMO. Only one section of mud, but it's 100% avoidable and don't even have to go within 100 yards of it if you don't want to. Line of deep puddles that I haven't managed to get through yet, too. Beside that it's all sand. Was able to do plenty there when I was on 31s and a budget boost.
My plan is to get my tax return, get new shocks, and then head out. So 2-3 weeks.
