Rausch camping for the July run

This is my first time there. What do they mean by "primitive"? Is there plenty of space to pitch a tent? Hopefully it's dirt or grass so I could drive stakes. Are there toilets? I think I can do without a shower for the duration, There's always baby wipes. Military style.

Maybe we could discuss what to consider if we're planning on camping here.

Is it safe to leave the tent pitched while wheeling? What about a grill?

Primitive means there is no electric or running water at the camp site's. There is port-a-pots. Yes you can grill, or camp fire. (unless burn ban) We always camped off the edge of the parking lot and left our stuff inside the tent when out during the day, and never had any sticky finger problems. I have seen others camping further back in the woods. Hope this helps, Have a great time.
