Rausch Creek

rausch creek sounds awsome but i dot think my jeep can handle it the 98 I6 4.0l with 120xxxmiles and has 4 inch old man emu suspension lift with 32x11.50r-15 bfgoodrich allterrain tires my buddy wants me to go there with him but his jeep is bigger has other stuff (and wed trailer the jeeps of we were to go were from new york btw) but idk what its like there i dont think my jeep is god enough for there

You'll be completely fine on the greens, and probably some blues with a spotter. The main thing I'd worry about is sending a rock through your oil pan. With that said, when I went last summer for the first time I was completely fine the whole day with a 2.5" suspension and 1.25" bl on 33" duratracs on greens and a couple of low blues with the help of a careful spotter. In our group there was also a TJ with 31" A/Ts, not lift, and an engine skid, and it did amazingly well and just slid over most of the taller rocks.

I have been there several times. Twice in my own jeep (once when she was completely stock) and once lifted. We usually go with groups of 90 to 150 people and several of them are in stock jeeps. It is a blast and everyone has fun.

Stick to the greens and blues. I used to take my TJ through all them on BFG AT 32s, even a few blacks. We did fine running through the blacks but we spotted each other every step of the trail. Keep your eyes on front diff covers, tie rods, and oil pans.

Didn't the black cost you a driveshaft and me a oilpan skid?

yea but that was in the JK lol. And I didn't say you won't break anything, I just said its do-able, lol.




Edit...OP don't miss the opportunity to go to RC. You will not regret it one bit. You will look at your jeep in a whole new light. You don't realize what your jeep is capable of in the form that it is in right now.

yea i plan on getting a oil pan skid plate wity in the month so i dont need lockers or anything special like that and btw those videos were great really helped i believe in my jeep now thats the best video ive seen of what im looking to do thanks alot.

Honestly I would spend the money on a front diff cover before the oil pan. I have smashed mine into rocks countless times. I don't have a single hard scrape on my oil pan yet.

Nope you don't need lockers for those trails. There is really every difficulty level there from fireroads to competition level. Especially if you get some skids, air down, and disconnect the swaybar you'll be golden.

Mine is stock hight, with only rock rails and oilpan skid, diff covers, and steering box skid. You'll have a ball and learn a lot about your Jeep.

Love jeepin at the creek! I'm pretty stock JKU but do have diff skids. They are a must. After my last trip finally broke my steps on a blue trail so putting on rubi rails and ace rock sliders. My control arm brackets are also taking a beating so skidding those as well.

Nothing cooler than bringing in my daily driver, airing down the tires, jeeping all day then airing up and driving home on the highway.

yeaa im gettig the skid plates soon need a lille more money but im just worried about the trip causre if a cant find a way to trailer my jeep there its a 98 wothe 125xxx miles i dont want to drive it there and have to worry its in good condition and all but idk its alot of miles
