Topless sold out - What do I need for next year?

According to the Official Topless for Tata's facebook page, they are sold out for this years event. I only live about an hour from Rausch Creek and am interested in this for next year. I am new to Jeeps and don't know what I don't know about going off road. I have a 2.5" spacer lift with Skyjacker shocks. I think everything else is stock (bought it used). Understanding that I don't have a lot of cash to throw at the Jeep, what is the minimum I'd need to participate in an event like this?

What year jeep do you have? It sounds like you should be in the tj section if you have a spacer lift, unless you are talking about body spacers

It's a 2007. I was referring to a coil spring spacer. ...Sorry for the confusion. I'm still learning...

You are fine with that lift. T4T event is split into several groups and you can go into what you are comfortable with. If you have no rock rails or additional armor under neath I suggest a green group especially if you have never gone before. If you do have rock rails and some armor underneath a green/blue group would be ok for you.

Thanks! Are off road tires required or will street tires do for green?

A good All-Terrain will get you through the greens without much problem a highway tread will struggle some, that being said I did run blues and some mild blacks back when I still had the stock street tires on mine.

Since you are new to off-roading and close to Rausch you should consider signing up for one of their 101 courses, they have them every month.

Beginner off road driving instruction class (101)
