agreed on there site, it could be alot better.. It's a great place for a stock Jeep especially when it's dry as most short wb 4x4's can do the majority of there trails no matter the type of tires.. If it's wet out it helps greatly to have a agressive at or a mt. there is a 101 event held every year usually in may and is run by www.fingerlakes4x4.com (rochester). FL4x4 also has trips there a majority of the months out of the year or so I remember. www.wnyoffroad.org (buffalo) is more local to the buffalo area where as FL4x4 is rochester based but still has guys that go to WP every once and awhile. When you go make sure you got a full size spare and front and rear recovery points with no matter who you go with. As well as a recovery strap. Other clubs in wny are www.wny4wd.com (buffalo), www.twistedtoys4x4.com (corning/elmira), and Enchanted Mountain Offroad whom are a facebook based club and are based out of olean. I know if you post up on FL4x4 or WNYO with a date your interested in going to WP and it's of enough advanced notice you should have no issue getting at least a few people to go with you.
Um almost forgot, For WP. Driver/Vehlicle is $25. Passenger is $5. And I think it's under 7 years old is free
I did not post them above but also out of the elmira corning area is www.backcountry4wheelers.com. There site is pretty dead but they do own property in bath ny and have a few public events there a year.

Hope I was able to help a little bit. Any more questions post up and I will anwser them for ya to the best of my abiltiy

I'm heading out to Rausch Creek for the December 17th 101, if you or anyone else on here is interested. It's a haul but from I hear, it's worth it.

wheeling in buffalo

I am in hamburg ny. I go wheeling in lackawanna. West seneca. Hamburg. Eden. Etc. Finding new places is a must and doing it legally is hard at times offroading is an addiction. Went wheeling last night in zoar valley. In the freezing snow. Good times. Anybody that wants to get out sometime get ahold of me. I can't get enough of playing with my jeep! Lol. Its a jeep thing!

Did the Rausch Creek 101 over the weekend. What a great time! Definitely addicted! Of course, 8 hours of offroading without a single scratch or dent and 45 minutes after leaving the park, I hit a deer. Looks like I'll be out of commission for a little while.

I'll let you know when I'm all fixed up. I'd be interested in seeing some of those local spots you mentioned.

Just joined the forum.

Hey folks,
Just joined the forum. Looks like fun. I'm in East Aurora, NY. Got a '12 Rubicon last fall and been doing some easy mods over our warm winter. Definitely looking to have some fun this season! Signed up for the Catskills Jamboree in September but we've definitely got to get muddy before then!

You should consider signing up for the Bradford Jamboree. I am signed up over a month ago. I went to Catskills last year I have mixed thoughts on it.

The run is on January 28th at 9:30am. Like Knight said, it's about a 5 hour drive so I'm heading out on the 27th at around 3pm. Gonna be staying at the Hampton Inn in Pine Grove (about $100 for the night). It's only a 15 minute drive to the park from there. I'll have a friend in my truck with me and will be meeting another friend at the park.

If you're gonna go, call the park and sign up. Since I'm new and am pretty much stock, I signed up for the Green Guided Ride. Cost for members is only $35 (non-members must pay $15 to become members on top of the $35).

***Winter Guided Rides***

Look for me when you get there. I'm sure I'll be the only Cosmos Blue JK there...

Closest legal place you can go is www.whisperingpineshideaway.com (lyons ny). It's a trip but it's legal.. NYS in general is shut down to offroading.. Only two public OHV parks in all of NYS that are open right now.. And one near the island that might be open soon.. After that there are three things people do.. 1. Wheel on private land they or a friend own/there a few clubs that have there own land and open it up once or twice a year for people to come an play.. 2.. Have a money tree and head out of state (pa is popular due to there abundance of OHV Parks and publci wheeling land) to wheel once or so a month. and 3. I am highly against this and it actually pisses me off that people resort to it. It's also very popular in NYS.. That is illegal wheeling via trespassing on private property or state land not designated for offroading..

There are quite a few clubs in the area.. Best sites to watch for events in PA, WP, and legal private land events are www.wnyoffroad.org, www.fingerlakes4x4.org, and www.twistedtoys4x4.com

Yo man, my buddy and I just both moved out of Hamburg. I am in Amherst and he is in Gowanda. We go trailing about twice a month in gowanda on the res on trails that go back for miles and offer mud, ridges and water. nothing too extreme but certainly better than almost anything else around here and you dont have to worry about getting into any legal trouble. hit me up man and we can all go out together sometime. mr_mart1n@yahoo.com

We have an 09 wrangler X with 285's and an 07 X with the 4.10 ratio...in fact, the 07 I am buying today in about 2 hours.
