I'm in Rockland. I hit trails in Northern NJ frequently. About an hr from me, and some others not really mentioned.

That's cool I've heard about some trails in northern nj but I'm not sure of them I'm interested in meeting up with a group I am not a true beginner just first jeep I got to play with hummers when I was in the service but I was not to concerned with beating them up I guess its a lot different when it's your time and money invested you get a real respect for how you operate

We're always in a group. The smallest group was only 3 of us, the largest group there were about 30 of us. Had to split up. That's was down at the Pine Barrens.

I did. They're sitting in the shed right next to the Rubi wheels I got. Been so busy haven't had the time. Now that my work schedule is lighting up and now more soccer for my daughter I'll be making the time. Throw in the factor that we're expecting another and I've been picking up a bunch of moms duties.

Correction. I have another set of tires for my present wheels. Haven't picked up any for the new wheels.

Had a blast Saturday! It was great meeting everyone, I'm looking forward to hitting the trails again. Hopefully next time I won't have to work and can stay for night wheeling.

Mike, are the pictures uploaded anywhere? I'd like to take a look through em. I only have a couple but I'll upload them if anyone's interested.

The Toy is an awesome rig and I think after Aric wheels it a bit he will make the needle, he just needs to gain some confidence with the rig. It's pretty obvious whoever bult it knew what they were doing.

Erfoster, I don't have any decent pics but there have been a few posted to fb by some of the people that attended.

Dude! The old Bronco is awesome, beautiful rig. Adjust the carb and bring it back, you have unfinished business with a couple of hills!

Hmmm, I think only James, Glen, and Sean have completed the needle?? James, do you remember any others who made it? Kyle, Sadass, and several others were all winched out of it. Glen dug it out with his 40's and it's been pretty tough since then, nobody has ever made it when the ground wasn't perfectly dry.
Now buggy hill is a whole different game, I don't see a jeep making it anytime soon.

The level of fun is epic, the trails are nothing special. We make the most of what we have available.

How to attack buggy hill?? The buggy had some serious suspenion to absorb the two rock ledges that will bounce a jeep pretty hard. Once you hit the ledges the degree of the climb increases enough that you will lose most of your front wheel traction leaving you to rely almost completely on just the rear wheels. Only one way is gonna work, speed and lots of it. Probly not the best idea to even try it, I def think your rig can climb it but the potential downside is pretty shitty.

Ive been thinking of installing a small ATV size winch up front as a suck down winch to take up the suspension slop when climbing hills and keep the front end down. Or utilize the winch on there now.
