It seems when a group meeting gets that large it forms little groups that just stand around and talk, when we wheel the group is usually small so easy to talk to everyone. I was only there for a short bit as I had to leave to find a trailer for the broken YJ, sorry to hear it didn't go so well.
Great! looking foward to the next one. Coudn't make it sunday.I went to the 1st meet and greet in November and had a good time.It was cool checking out everybodys rigs.Everyone was friendly and i got alot of good ideas for future mods.
Sorry I missed it...got called into work last minute...pics look cool
Will try and make it next time when I have my lift, shocks and springs (thanks for pink Percy) and tires installed for the warm weather
I know what you guys are saying about the little segregated groups. That being said, being a southerner, I had no problem talking to quite a few folks since we regularly walk around bare foot and talk to strangers at the filling station for hours without even knowing their name. :drinks:
I would like another meet up, preferably on a Saturday.
May 17th is go topless day sponsored by all things jeep
Last year I attended an event similar to the meet and greet this past weekend ...maybe we can organize our own event...thoughts?
I say we meetup like a beach somewhere, perfect place for a topless day. Jones Beach possibly on a specific lot? I think lots 5&6 aren't really the most crowded. this may be too far out of the way for some people though but them staten island guys were up at the meet this past weekend....
If you guys are suggesting Jones Beach the blue Angels are there on Memorial Day weekend. It's an AMAZING show fun for all and its free fun day for the whole family. We go every other year when the blue Angels fly. Just a thought.
Just a thought, if your a little shy or had trouble getting conversations going at the M&G it might work better to just come out wheelin with us. Having to rely on each other on the trail, spot, tug, winch, etc through sketchy situations tends to build friendships very quickly. Just an idea.
Mike
Hey Mike if you can fit one more into the group on one of your outing please let me know. I'm still green and curious to see what my jeep can do on the trails.
Rad, your absolutely welcome. Most of our stuff is set up to showcase what a stock well driven rig is capable of. As soon as the dirt driveway that leads into my trails firms up we'll be back out there.
Jklax, try some plasti dip spray cans and for $10 do it yourself. Stick playing cards inbetween the tire and rim to keep it off of the tire and it actually comes out pretty nice. Best part is if you dont like it you can peel it off. I tried it on my RZR and it has held up pretty well.
Oooh ooh ooh! Almost forgot! Discount tire direct runs a special for the forum. 15" level 8 trackers and 33x12.50/15r duratracs. Find theyre username on here and message them for the price.
I plasti dipped my 13' Sahara wheels. Loved the way they turned out. Then a bought a set if Rubi take off wheels. Those will be plast dipped when it gets warner. That being said, I have a set of '13 wheels and tires for sale. Wheels are I. Great condition and the tires have about 15k on them, spare has never seen pavement.
