Very nice meeting you and Tammy!

I have your poker chips safe and sound (away from a certain curious little one) When you come for the Halloween party, we'll put them in your Jeep before we're both drunk and forget again.

Going to explore those trails on Saturday and take alot of pictures!

Is that the Newburgh Beacon Bridge?

BTW - I live in central Westchester and spend a ton of time in the Catskills and Putnam County. I'm down for a Hudson Valley meet up. I also go out to Rausch Creek with some work buds a few times a year and will give a holler here next time we are going.
Decided to spend today riding around doing errands the doors and top off.

Im going to go ahead and say its somewhere you know your not supposed to be. Do you realize how hard people work to prevent the bad stigma with offroaders to land owners when you post pictures about it.
But...

If your going to go, please dont make anything of it. Being up there is one thing but bragging is another. And by the way, you went up the boring easy way. The otherside is much more exciting.

I don't recall anywhere in my post about bragging so relax LY? Last time I checked we do live in the land of the free and I spoke to 4 other Jeepers along my travels who were also having fun which is the bottom line. Not creating a bad "stigma" with land owners.

Have fun and enjoy it don't be so uptight, we have more things in this country to worry about then a few pics on a post about Jeeps.

That being said LY since you know of this "more exciting way" hit me up next time you venture out I'd love to see what I'm missing

Land of the free? Yes. Land of the free to do what ever you want without respect to owners property? No. I can assure you none o the 4 other jeeps having fun were also not supposed to be there and do not own the land.

Yes its about fun i agree, but people actually talk to the land owners of "that place" and try to restore the tower and were lucky enough they let us be up there then. Its people who trespass and make the people who are allowed there, hikers, mad. No not all of them but it only takes one to throw a fit. Theres enough signs to know your not allowed.

And go up 9d theres a trail after the firehouse heading south towards cold spring.

If you want to wheel join the hudson valley group. They have been working towards helping you, the average wheeler find spots to ride. In the past 10 years they have been able to get acess to places you wouldnt beleive. So dont ruin it for everyoneby making it worse.

I hate saying this all the time to people but once you go to a meeting youll understand how organized it really is and youll see where im coming from.

Sorry Arkie about the missed invite..., kinda spur of the moment thing.

LY - I've read HV4W site and am considering coming to the meeting on the 17th to be honest. Hikers can be just as irresponisble as anyone else and hurt the cause. In once section there is litter all over the place with water/soda bottles and other garbage so who's picking that up? Seems a double standard in my opinion but I agree there are those who dont tread lightly and just don't care which leaves a bad taste. If your responsible and respectful then you should have just as much right as anyone.

I'll look for you at the meeting and would be more then happy to discuss further since we're both on the same side. We're all on this site for the same reason -Jeeps.

Everything else is explained in the website. Dont be discouraged theyre very open and love new people as it helps their cause of banding together.

Another thanks for the invite! U had a great day... I might be w you next time... As for the Hudson v keepers, I think I need to check that out too. Sounds like a good group to get some off limit trails opened up for some limited use fun... Maybe even a few clen up days here and there to help get of the good graces of the lnd owners.
