Mikd,

Thanks so much for the invite. I had a blast. Great property for wheeling and getting together with friends.

And thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. Great bunch of jeepers. Can't wait for the next gathering. Mike, don't forget about me for a trail cutting!

Kyle,

I was down there a few weeks ago. It was a great run. Mostly flat with a lot of mud holes. I'm headed down also. We should all meet up on the turnpike and get a convoy going.

Good meeting you

We def gotta do it again. Maybe add some camping when the temp picks up a bit. Great group of people, no b.s. just good times. Nice to have an absolute blast and not have it cost an arm and a leg, just a bumper, fender, gas tank, ....haha

I think at one point we had 16 or 17 jeeps. Considering the place isn't that big it actually worked out pretty well. Hope the trails were set up well enough for everyone.

Kyle & TwoZeroFD
The guy who was supposed to be organizing the Wharton run cancelled it today.. His handle is scrappy on the jk forum.. Don't know why, he cancelled, but I'm pretty disappointed.. Maybe he'll organize another.. I know he's done a couple so far.. Btw Kyle I heard it's sand, dunes, & water crossings.

Took it back to the deal i got it from and they changed the steering stabilizer and still doing the same thing. Any body know of good jeep mechanic thats not a dealer that may help me. Thanks

Where are you located? If anywhere near Middletown NY, a few of the jeeps in our area have had very good luck with Alignment World. One of the techs is a wheeler and knows lifted vehicles.

I have my friend helping me out with a good route. He knows the area like the back of his hand. I just hope we get 1-2 people in the group with a winch! That mud is like quicksand in some spots!!!!

I'll keep u posted. So far, it's a go on my end!

Next time we go hopefully I'll have a better mount for the camera figured out, and I'll be sure to charge it before I get to the trails so i can get more videos of everyone.

What time are you thinking of going to Wharton?

That's up to everyone else. Keep in mind, it's a 2hr drive from my place. Add another 20 or 30 mins for you. It's a long day but I'm down for it.

I would love to join you guys in Jersey, but I'm heading down to DC for a meeting with congress on children's health policy. I am also planning on introducing a bill that allows Jeeps to drive on any unpaved public road south of Albany, and if you get stuck, you will be immediately winched out, have 37's and a 6 inch lift installed so it doesnt happen again, and handed an ice cold beer free of charge. I am also proposing to have MikD's place officially listed as the "the coolest place in NY" and make him Director of the Department of Off-Roading. Wish me luck.

Too funny "eh"...

So what did you guys think of that slick half frozen mud/ice? Like rally driving in slo motion, I've been playing on it for years and actually really enjoy it. The trick is to always keep a little momentum and steer with the throttle, sometimes 2wd is better. Hard to believe that little Subaru with the bald tires made it through many of the trails! Not sure if any of you made it to the west side of the property by the larger stream crossing, that one is going to be a real nice trail. Not for the faint of heart though.

Looking forward to hitting that trail next time. I'll try almost anything once, however, I do have some unfinished business with that boulder at the top of that steep hill climb! It's not going to get the better of me next time!
