Gotta start a list of who wheelin & camping on the 11th and whos bringing what. Probly set up tents in the field instead of the trails. Sadass, james, tal, bear, and kyle are in so far, I may have missed a few. Time to clean up the fire pit in the field.

Had a great time at Topless For Tatas at Rausch Creek! The Jeep performed excellent (I still got a lot to learn however...lol) Our guide was Jacob Hurd, owner of Black Rock Customs. Awesome guy!!! He had lots of great advice, helped me a lot. Put the Jeep places I wouldnt have thought it would go, even did a "red" trail, a small hill of rocks with a turn at the top. Only damage was one of the "rim protectors" on the Level 8 wheels lost a chunk on the red trail. Also on the red I did stuff the front pass tire enough to rub the bumper a little, so looks like a shory instead of a mid is in my future. The wheel incident was due to the rear drivers tire being up on a rock, then as I was trying to slowly come off it, I had to power the front pass tire up a larger rock, when I did this, the Jeep kicked sidways a little bit and came off the rock in the rear, taking a chunk out of the rim protector. I should have been over a little maybe, or more gentle with the gas, not sure what I did wrong. No biggie, Im learning. I dont have many pictures to post, tough to take pics while driving lol.....GREAT TIME!!!

Heres the wheel "rim protector" shot.....took a chunk out of the protector and bent one of the screws holding it on......

I can't believe I'm going to miss another one. Trying to change healthcare policy for children really screws up my weekends, and prevents my liver from it's happy place. Hope you guys enjoy, and I'll catch you at the next one.

Good idea James, if everybody brings a package of either dogs or burgers with buns we should have plenty to go around all day. Just mowed the field nice and short for the tents, gonna go pick up a tank of propane for the grill. Hmmm, bonfire in the tunnel or in the field?? Thinking the tunnel in case of a thunderstorm. Hopefully we get a good storm during the day to slicken the trails!

I just bought those tires! my 33 Mickey MTZ's are so bald and this set was super cheap. Got all 5 and a 2.5 rough country lift for around 500 $. Hopefully I will be able to get out there soon.

Hey guys-

There is a cool show to check out on Discovery Channel Sunday 8/19, 9 pm.
It is called One Car Too Far and this week the two hosts take a Wrangler to all sorts of remote locations and try to survive with it.

CHECK IT OUT

Hudson Valleyers....I am new to the area. Currently hoteling it in Fishkill and work in Peekskill. My '04 TJ has started in with the death wobble. Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in either of the two towns or nearby that can actually help with diagnosing and correcting the problem?

Thanks...
