Got my 4wd fixed. Turns out the vacumm lines on the t-case were just pulled out a little bit. Just enough for it to not suck. Intersting though seeing as it worked the other weekend. And strange it didnt work when I checked it at your place mikd.

Hey all, I know this is last minute but I'll be up at the Bear Mountain Cruise Night this evening. It's the first one of the year, usually a great time to relax and check out some great vehicles! It runs from 6pm-9pm, if anyone is going look for my black wrangler TJ and say hello!

Can't wait to wheel Saturday! Weather looks clear, hoping for a possible shower Friday night to cut the dust and fill the holes.

Well the frame twister twisted my frame a little to much... Jeep is shot, frame is cracked all the way through in front of the steering box. You can see angle the front bumper has. Going to contact a few places tomorrow about frame repair/swap. Ill let you all know how it goes.

PS: She still got me home and around town before I noticed it happened. Jeep still has some Magic in it.

Pretty good, group was a little too large to keep it moving. Like herding cats. Ended earlier than usual though.

Your title still holds as the olny rig to make it out of the rocks cleanly, at leat the first time. Kyle claims he made it when we weren't there, he may very well have but we ain't given it to him till we see it happen haha!

Should the notch go across the hill or up and down. Could be a deceivingly difficult obstacle.

I've never done a big notch across usually up the hill created by nature that would be sweet though. You have went spots in mind?

Hmmm, do you think a notch at 45deg across the hill would be too tough?

Guess straigt up and down would be safer and easier to make. Maybe on the backside of the needle would be good, hill is short enough as to not be a danger of multiple roll's.

It depends the 45° across like I'm sure you thought of might cause disaster but depending on how deep it is it might be a full little challenge, depending on the steepness of the hill depth and the width. Maybe a cool lil notch with some rocks/logs going up a decent hill would be a good challenge, I'll try it if it doesn't look completely impossible I will try the thread the needle again like you said its conditions not just the rig/driver. The best challenges are ones that make you find your line and stick to it. That's how I made the pit the first time!

Too bad you missed last Sat, the conditions were perfect for the hillclimb. There was so much available traction that James was able to crawl the needle. Only happens a couple of times a year and tough to predict. Bet it's pretty much impossible with the current rain.
