Lake George Area

Hey guys I'm from New Jersey and go to school in Connecticut. My girlfriend and I are looking to go on a vacation this spring and we both think lake George would be great. I'm trying to find class 4 roads that go to the lake or near some rivers along with the most remote places we can get to camp and fish. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks for all your help!

There is a area on the east side of the lake that you get to from rt149 heading east from the north way in glens falls .
149 crosses bay road running north and south .
I believe the turn off is the next left after bay road .
there is a fire place store on the corner .
You drive thru a residential area then the road turns to a trail , the trail takes you about 500 feet from the lake , its a short walk to the water and you can camp with your car off the road .
It takes about an hour to drive in . john
not sure about the jeepen as far as trails go.

Def a great area to check out. I've been there a few times myself recently.
