Long Island shops for Auxillary Lighting

Hey all. I'm going to be frank: I have no clue how to wire axillary lights, nor do I have any electrical tools.

If I buy the lights that I want, which LI shops will wire them up for me at a decent price?

Did you look into the spod power distribution system? (www.4x4s-POD.com) Its a plug and play system that allows six accessories to be used through it. Easy install with basic tools. Worth a look before you have someone wire it.

Seems pretty simple. Do you labor costs will exceed the cost of the SPOD?

It could, wiring is all time, so figure at $75 to $95 an hour is what most shops run at, if all they have to do is wire it and not mount the lights it might be cheaper, but i would think it would be a couple hours.
I wired my truck which has 5 hella 4000, 2 hella ff fogs and it was pretty time consuming between mounting and making mounts and then wiring and relays and switch positions. If i had to make a bill for that it woulda been $600 plus

I also don't trust anyone working on my new Jeep with wiring. I have heard horror stories (many on this forum) of so called professional installers wiring lights or winches into Jeeps and those Jeeps burning up. There is a great write up on this forum in the write ups and how to section on the spod system. It seems to be the way to go with wiring if you have the funds for it.

Thanks guys. I'll just wait it out a bit more and save for a spod. Seems like it is worth the money for someone like me.
