Needing info on area...

Hey all. I will be traveling to Plattsburg, Ny middle of June for a bass tournament. Unfortunately I won't have the Rubi, but a Ranger Bass boat. Wife and I are planning on going into NYC for a couple of days so I'm looking for a short term storage facility with easy access to and easy connection to either train, subway, cabs, etc to take us into NYC. I have sent a private message to Tralph13, just because I noticed he was from LI. So I decide just to go ahead and make a thread to see if anyone can suggest a site. And no Im not fishing in the tourney I just happen to work for FLW Outdoors. We put on the tournaments. Thanks if you guys can help with info. Mike

There a large outdoor parking lots on the west side of Manhattan that fit larger trucks. You might just be able to find a spot in one of those. There is one on th west side highway and 13th street-dont know the name though.Good luck.Iwould google earth that spot and see if anything comes up.

I would think it'd be a whole lot cheaper to find something outside of the city, but near the train. Especially if you're talking a couple days with a truck and trailer.

There is a Holiday Inn Express in Lynbrook, NY just outside Queens and close to JFK. They are right next to the Long Island Railroad Station, which will get you to Penn Station in NYC in a little over 30 minutes. Pretty sure you could get away with parking a rig at the hotel for a few days.

Try Jersey City, NJ as well right across river, lots of good hotels along the river and a quick ride on the PATH train into NYC. Might also try self strorage locations. They may cut you a deal for only a few days?

Thanks Cozeinlb. Still looking at options. Reason I was preferring fenced in, CCTV, storage area.....it's about a $65,000 bass boat.
