Hey guys- low, where upstate are you?
And Sam- I'm waiting on a replacement driveshaft for my rig- there's a little off-roadable area down by me, but nothing great.
There are a few places up in the Dacks, I'm told, but I need to find out more- Mark W.

There's a decent beginner place near me- nothing fancy at all, but some good mud, and a few stumps and small rocks. You could EASILY take a Subaru through there, so it's nothing that'll hurt a Jeep, but good to learn a bit on. Teach yourself to drive slow on the stumps and such. Let me know if you guys want to swing down. Low, it would be a haul for you for nothing fancy- not a bad run down from you, though, Sam.
Sometime this summer we'll all have to head north
Also planning on post-wedding wheeling on June 20th at Rausch Creek- open invite on the forum here somewhere... Mark W.

Nice- I thought you were farther up than that...
Hmm- if you guys want, I'm free next Saturday if you wanted to come down. As I said, it's not a very big place, but there are some nice places for a drive, and next weekend is due to be gorgeous (top down, doors off, covered in mud- perfect! ) Mark W.

Tact- we're doing a mini-meet down by me- read:
I can do Saturday morning- sure!
We're at 2585 Salt Point Tpke, Clinton Corners NY. Take 87 down to 90, take that east to the Taconic, and take that down to salt point turnpike- easy trip. When you get there, call me (845)492-1886. There's a Stewart's right there where I could meet you.
Since you guys are so close, you should caravan it- Mark W.

Hey guys- update! My buddy Adam just told me about a big run to Rausch Creek in PA this weekend! Going to have to swing that instead- you are all MORE than welcome to come with! A bit more of a haul, but well worth it! Tons of trails, and all kinds of stuff- from plain dirt roads to hardcore stuff. It'll be my first trip, and would love the company! Planning on heading down EARLY Saturday morning- let me know- Mark W.

Low- I'm now leaving tonight, actually. No digicam, but there WILL be pics on JK-forum and JKowners for sure- there's about 60+ rigs going, so there had better be pics I'll try and take some if I can get the digicam to work (unlikely)- maybe the weekend of the 24th-25th, you guys can come down for a ride- Mark W.

I could do a Friday afternoon, but I wouldn't be able to make it up until 2ish.

Also, Rausch Creek- holy crap that was fun! Went out with a blue/green group- hit the hardest line on everything (except the one black we did), and nothing broke. Made a big bonehead move and pulled a full endo on the front diff cover (thanks, River Raider!!!!!), no damage. Worst thing is some scratches on my skids and a dent on the OEM gas tank skid. Our trail guide's wife took a TON of pics- I'll post a few. She also got one of my bonehead self with the whole Jeep resting on the front axle- OUCH

You guys gotta try this! Mark W.
