Not from Vermont but I've heard amazing things. My girl spent 7 years at Norwich University getting her masters in architecture. Apparently we are going to be making a trip to burlington soon.

I spend about 1/2 of the year at my house in Eden. Can't wait to try my new JKU there once it's delivered!

I used to live in South Royalton back in the late 90's.

That moment when you look at a really nice JK and think to yourself, "Well I SUPPOSE I could see myself trading in my TJ for one of those, but for those ugly ass door handles."

I just joined. Westford. A few weeks ago I hit a frost heave in my Mini Cooper and did $1500 in damage to it. As soon as that's back from the shop it's going up for sale to be replaced by the tank green Willys Wheeler I just ordered, which should show up in May.

Would love to meet up and learn where to take these things off road around here!

I wouldn't try anything now, I already had to leave my Jeep out in Milton for a few days. I'll ponder on what a stock JK can do for a bit, but if you just want to get off road, Starksboro Muni Forest has some cool stuff to explore.

Anyways, a guy from a Yota forum put together all the mileage maps in the drop box below. When you open a map look in the stats to see if there are any Class 4 roads. Then find the appropriate === or --U-- on map for "unimproved road".

You can find the latest version of those maps on the VT Trans website:

VTrans Mapping Archive

They just updated all of them with 2014 data. I print them out and keep them in the Jeep when I'm in VT.

If anyone wants pointers about trails in and around Lamoille County, or want to ride this summer, just PM me.

If I wasn't sending my TJ to Texas, I'd have been down to go out. Just left with the XJ up here now.

Not actually in Vermont, but the shop that's been helping me out (The 4x4 Center) isn't too far from the border, in South Burlington.
