I like that Jeep, have you driven it? Pay attention to all the little things, and try to notice anything subtle too, a small vibration could build up to a large vibration kind of thing. And definitely see if you can find a mechanic that is fairly familiar with Jeeps and give it a good look over.
Great fun those ATV's, sounds like your getting set up for all sorts of adventures.
Hey Man, how you been? Sorry I've been MIA, I am however, back in the states. Down in Las Vegas. I'm looking at that gun metal blue jeep that we had oogled a bit. Here's the link. The guy is willing to come down to 9k, he's had it on the market for months now. Jeep Wrangler | ksl.com
What do you think? Oh, I also bought a yamaha 250 atv for my oldest boy. I'm lookin to get a 90 and a 700 for myself.
Interesting story on the GC; I bought her a Mazda MX6 as her first car, rebuilt the motor only to find out the block was cracked, so I had to dump another $400 for another motor. She drives it for almost a year and gets to look at a deal of a 1996 Grand Cherokee; so she sells that MX6 to buy the GC. I put $400 worth of parts into it to fix the problems, and some illegal alien rear ends her totaling it. She didnt even get the title from the state yet when that happened. But, we had proper insurance, and they total it giving her $5500 for it. She paid $1500, so she takes the $5500 and gets this newer GC with only 70,000 miles. What a deal, once in a while it works out, except Im still down $2000 from the MX6 and the first GC. lol
Yeah, I have seen quite a few and it is really rough on people. Of course sometimes there is no other option. But Im quite certain Gods plan for you is the best, and still can come about...
But needless to say, Im not sure how nice that syndrome is. Ive been trying to raise a family, and getting burned a few times on cars really eats into that. But that happens...
Current list, 1998 GMC k2500, 2006 Honda Accord (absolutely love that car), 1966 Mustang, and a 1976 Camaro; of course my girls get the Jeeps, one is the 1987 Wrangler, and the other bought her own which is a 1999 Grand Cherokee.
LOL, nice syndrome to have. You'd be coorrect on the not married part...Divorced, unfortunately, I don't wish divorce upon anybody and to tell you the truth I don't wish that I were divorced, alas here I am.
So other than atleast one jeep that you have, that I know of and your stang, what other project cars do you have?
Oh, no problem, I love talking shop. I imagine this is why these boards exist, we have a sickness of sorts. I tell my father thanks for all that, I have "cant let it stay in the weeds, I must buy it and repair it" syndrome.
As for the chick... Im assuming your not married? Otherwise that might be a problem, lol.
You're the best. Thank you so much for your input. I agree on all accounts. I'll let it sit for a day maybe two. My cousin is gonna look at it but not until this weekend at earliest, one of his buddies might get to it this week....but he can be flaky so that might not even happen. I'm with you though 9k would be nice....he is gonna deliver it to my parents house about an hour south of where his wife is at, so all that headache on his part might be worth kicking in at 9.5k and we both feel good about it all?
Again, I'll do nothing for a day or two, if it's still a good buy by then, I can easily readdress it.
Steve, seriously thanks for your help. I'm so glad that you're easy going and willing to answer my insanely repeated questions. You really are awesome man.
PS, I got some jeeper chick from here private messaging me, who know maybe we hit it off
