Thanks for getting back to me George, pretty much as I suspected, I just didn't want to buy several harnesses and end up not needing them. I really don't want to buy an 1800.00 full harness from painless unless I have to.
OK quick as the rain stops it's off to U-Pull-it, see if I can find a harness that isn't all cut up.
you can do a full truck harness which can be picked up cheap and go thru the harness to work for how you want it to and just find a jeep body harness to run the lights and then use the autometer or etc gauges but if you wanted to use the jeeps gauges then you would need the emulator that Novak sells along with part of the jeeps motor harness to mate with the LS harness...that may be cheaper then buying a bought harness. i havent tackled my harness yet but i will be shortly
George, Hope you don't mind an un-introduced PM, But I need some wiring advice. I bought a 97 TJ with a 5.3/4l60 (e?)/231-C pretty cleanly installed but not wired, that's alright I can track n splice ok I guess. BUT neither the jeep or chevy harness are there.
My question is do I have to buy a brutal expensive (not so) painless harness and do the whole jeep or would I be better served to find used underhood Jeep/Chevy harnesses and computers then interface them?
OR of course any other suggestions, ideas, or guidance toward links and articles you may have would be greatly appreciated.
