Honestly, if I had to do it over, I'd go with the diesel. I think your Jeep is a little heavier than my TJ, and my v-10 gasser in the motorhome just doesn't quite get it. I have troubles on some of the hills on the freeway. Also, I know diesel is more expensive than gas (at least here) but the mileage on a diesel is much better than the 9.5 mpg than I'm getting in mine. I do love towing the Jeep though. These were made to be towed. I love the motorhome/Jeep combo, just wish there was more power. Hope this helps. Rick
docman, I am thinking of buying a rv, own a 4 door JK and can't decide if I should buy diesel (another 10-20K more than gas). I want to spend 20-35K for a used rv. I live in Colorado and will have to go over steep hills (50%) of the time. What was your experience with your GAS RV pulling the jeep?
