I would think this could be done. The cloth wheel has the knock outs (blank plates) where the buttons are on the leather wheel, correct. If this is true, then the button plates should just be able to be removed and inserted into the cloth wheel.
Hello, I was hoping that I might get some advice.
I'm a vegetarian who just bought a new Sahara with the Uconnect GPS/DVD/Mp3 radio. I forget the model but it was the slightly less expensive one. I can get that if you want. My problem is that the dealership swore to me that they could switch the leather steering wheel for a non-leather steering wheel (on cheapest Wrangler models) and now they don't know. I was told that I would lose the "phone" button on the steering wheel, but that it could be swapped. Now their service department is saying that this can't be done? Any advice on what I can do? I don't want a leather steering wheel and my Jeep has already been delivered. Now the dealership doesn't know what to do with it. thank you.
