Thanks Mike! Your workmanship is Stellar!!
I got the new 35" duratrac's and XD-wheels installed today and the ride height is established under the TF 2.5 lift so the next phase is to get the towing setup.
(I live only 10miles from the Roadmaster manufacturing facility and the RD engineer showed some interest in using my JK/Warn Elite Bumper setup as a test platform to build their "Hidden hitch" receiver bracket) I have an appointment to talk to them next week (might get a free setup) including braking system?
If that works out it will save me some time and $$.
Keep up the good work and enjoy the Spring Wheeling
I have a Roadmaster Sterling aluminum towbar that I use. I was not impressed with many of the "adapters" that are out there to attach the towbar to either the "D" rings or the adapter brackets that need to be added to the Jeep so I fabricated my own bracket/crossmember. It works great as an attachment point for the towbar as well as serves as some much needed added protection for the electronic swaybar disconnect actuator. The bracket mounts below and just behind the front bumper so it does not interfere with my approach angle at all. You can see pictures of it during the build process and after completed and powder coated in my build thread. There is a link to it in my signature. Thanks. Mike.
Say I came across this post (newbie here)
I purchased my first jeep : 2012 JK unlimited Sahara--a couple weeks ago--I am loving it and seems it likes what I am doing to it as it keeps asking for more (LOL)
I installed the latest Warn "elite" bumper (the one with the extensions on the end that meet up nicely with the factory flares.
Just yesterday I finished installing the Tera Flex 2.5" performance lift and expect my new 35 x70x17 Duratracs and KD 17x9 wheels to show up.
The reason I am writing this is I notice you are "towing" your Jeelp behind your MH? I to plan on towing mine behind our Newmar MA DP. I am wondering how you chose to connect yours??--
