    Hi brains,

Apologies for the delay on this. I have been busy with work and my other vehicle as a winter project (even though there is no snow here as of yet).
Anyway, the racks I used are Yakima. The gutter mount are 1A's I believe. I bought the mounts off of Ebay for around $60 (they were brand new). I then bought the bars at REI, forgot what I paid for those. After that I hunted down the clamshells on Ebay and got each of those for about $30 a piece. So for about $140-$150 I got the whole setup. Had I bought everything new, it would have cost double or more.
I like the setup. It works well and would work well for some ski's. Would I put a real (big) load on them? No, but for my boards or ski's no problem at all. The only thing I worry about is my wife or daughter driving my jeep because the height increased more than a bit.
I was not going to drill the top of my Jeep no matter what. I would have gone to a spare tire rack before punching holes in the top(s).
