Hey Man, how you been? Sorry I've been MIA, I am however, back in the states. Down in Las Vegas. I'm looking at that gun metal blue jeep that we had oogled a bit. Here's the link. The guy is willing to come down to 9k, he's had it on the market for months now.

What do you think? Oh, I also bought a yamaha 250 atv for my oldest boy. I'm lookin to get a 90 and a 700 for myself.

That is crazy, but you being out 2k is her being up significantly. As you say, Gods plan does always seem to work out.

LOL, nice syndrome to have. You'd be coorrect on the not married part...Divorced, unfortunately, I don't wish divorce upon anybody and to tell you the truth I don't wish that I were divorced, alas here I am.

So other than atleast one jeep that you have, that I know of and your stang, what other project cars do you have?

You're the best. Thank you so much for your input. I agree on all accounts. I'll let it sit for a day maybe two. My cousin is gonna look at it but not until this weekend at earliest, one of his buddies might get to it this week....but he can be flaky so that might not even happen. I'm with you though 9k would be nice....he is gonna deliver it to my parents house about an hour south of where his wife is at, so all that headache on his part might be worth kicking in at 9.5k and we both feel good about it all?

Again, I'll do nothing for a day or two, if it's still a good buy by then, I can easily readdress it.

Steve, seriously thanks for your help. I'm so glad that you're easy going and willing to answer my insanely repeated questions. You really are awesome man.

PS, I got some jeeper chick from here private messaging me, who know maybe we hit it off

Wow steve, you just blew my mind away man....so almost everything you just said flew over my head. So would you think it's worth the 9500 that he said he'd come down to or should I sit on it and see if it cools off. I do know this. His wife and family are in Utah with the jeep....he's already moved to Wyoming and the family will follow at some point. Not sure if that situation will play in wheather or no he'd come down, however, I also don't want to rip anybody off, yes cheaper is better but I also have no problem paying what something is worth.

So in short, if it were you in my situation, knowing what you know about me....would you buy it at 9500 or wait for another rig down the road? This rig does seem set up, maybe even a little more so, than what I would like out of a rig....

Called and talked to the guy, he's got the Ox-lockers set up on the front and rear. Looking at them online they are pretty good lockers.....they are cable ran and you have a shifter set up, one for each front/back. I also, threw out a n offer of 7k, and finally at 8k but he only budged from 9800 to 9500....saying he's already brought it down about as much as he'd like. I'll give him some time, my cousin is going to get eyes on the jeep this weekend, if still for sale. Maybe that will change my mind or maybe he'll come down from there......

Hey what would you think a final sales price on that Gun/metal blue 98 TJ would be....I'm thinkin if I can get it for 8k or less would be great......do I sound about in the right ballpark?
  8. Skysniper
Steve, Thanks for your input on that jeep. I've got to say, after hearing that you really liked it too it definately turned on my spidey senses even more. I'm gonna chat with them and see if I can work em down a little bit. It does kind of seem like the perfect jeep for me though.

It needs some work but only about what I'm wanting to do to one anyways. You kill me, lol, sounds like you live in a pretty awesome place, once I get jeepin a bit maybe my boys and I could meet up with you one day and jeep some trails too, who knows.

Give you wife my best aout her stang, lol I still find myself chuckling on the inside about that. I've got to say, I've only driven the coast of Oregon but man o man is that a beautiful state.
  9. Skysniper
Are you more by Eugene or more towards Portland....or even further north? How's your weather right now.....hot and rainy or?
  10. Skysniper
Dang, sorry to hear about the accident with the stang, luckily no one got hurt though. Small concelation I know but still.

Yeah minus being a 4 cyl, it is a nice one. I'm lookin, trying to get a good idea of what I'd like to buy, If I found the right jeep for the right deal I would probably pull the trigger but as you've told me before, I can't really know until I drive it. Not being able to drive them is killin me.

Here's one that I thought might actually be close to it's asking price value...ok it's probably a better grab if for 7k - 8k but thought it was a nice one too:
