Saw the write-up on your build. Great job but I wanted to know how your cooling system is set up and how well it works for you. I'm dropping a stock E-Rod LS3 in my YJ and your TJ is more similar to size and space regarding the radiator than the JK builds I find all over the internet. Any tips on your cooling system would help me out a lot.

Thanks for the compliment !! The ax15 is holding out ok but I ran into a problem with it like you explained about horsepower. Novak explained to me that they changed the gear rings to a beefier metal but its still not rated the the amount of horsepower. FYI, Tremec just introduced there 4x4 tranny good for 800 ponies... I'm gonna be placing an order for 1 in the next couple weeks.
If you go with the same motor from gm performance, you will need to get it tuned on a dyno, and that's where the ax15 will fall short

    Hi,

I read your build thread several times. I am planning what you've done, except I plan to use an 05-06 Unlimited Rubicon as my start. I was happy to find your thread as you used the exact same engine I am planning.

I planned to use either a NV4500 or a 4L80e trans. I prefer the stick shift but I know the NV is a "truck" trans and wouldn't drive as nice as the AX15. I didn't think it would do well behind that LS3, especially at 480hp. Just wanted to ask how yours is holding up, and what you meant by saying it was built up. I've searched some but most results for "AX15 upgrade" lead to info about swapping in a NV trans.

    Thanks for any help,
    Jamie
