In a post last year you had photos of your JK with 15" wheels and 35x12.5 Goodyears with the spare resting on the stock spare mount. Has that caused any problems with the gate? I have been looking at that mix of tires/wheels, but have been told to get a bumper mounted spare carrier. So I'm curious if you have any issues with it.

Nah, The more you read the more you learn, and the more you learn the more money you find out you're going to have to spend.

I'm learning about putting 1 ton axles under a TJ right now, along with how to stretch the wheelbase, and why a 4 link suspension is so awesome. The learning never stops. Never.

Hey just checking in with you - any plans yet on what you are going to do with your undercarriage? I just got off the phone with a guy who owns Krawl Works (Burnham PA) and he gave me a thumbs up on the Rustoleum, says does that himself and it works well.

I have been following the 33/12.5/15 discussion thread for months. I'd really like to get some GY duratracs and wheels but I want, as much as possible, to keep the tire under the stock fender/flare. This means I need more back spacing than most stock wheels offer, but I don't know how much can be tolerated without causing other troubles. I have a 08 wrangler, 2 dr, with an AEV 3.5" lift kit, winch, bilstein shocks, etc. The stock 17's with GYMT's 255/75/17 fit fine, with no problems and have lots of Back Spacing so the stock wheel/tire is clearly under the fender.

The 15" wheels all come with 4.5" BS max, most have 3.5" BS and will cause the tire to extend about 2" outside the fender. I'm hoping to find a 15" wheel/tire combo, 33" Outside Diameter, that will fit. A 34" tire would be find too. I'm not that concerned about the 12.5. 11.5 would be ok, even 10.5... whatever.

There must be 1000's of geezers looking for this setup....?

    Any suggestions?

Hey man, I saw your posts in 'trails in raleigh' thread, and wanted to say hello as a fellow raleigh-er. Also wanted to ask about your wheels, i've also got a silver 2 door JK, and am looking to replace stock wheels, I like the way yours looks and am wondering what you've got on there (wheels/tires)?

Also I liked what you had to say about riding around and having fun without going over serious stuff which you could get hung up on, i'm still looking for spots randomly as I drive around, i've still got to check out those spots you mentioned in the thread though.

Anyways, my name is Jeremy. Nice to meet ya!

Hey Jude...They are going back to Selma tomorrow and Sunday per Carolina Offroad. Sonny PM'd me about it too. Dunno if I can make it, but I am going to try.
