Steering box is stock. I havent heard many people complain about the stock steering box not being able to turn the tires, that thread is really the only mention I have heard about the steering box...and I also havent had an issue. I have upgraded the tie rod to an "iron rock offroad" tie rod. Its a beefier rod, with stock ends. DL is still stock though. I would have liked to go currie, but they dont guarantee that it will work with less that 4" of lift. If/when I bend or break something I may look into the ZJ conversion. Havent had an issue yet though. Brakes are still stock...for now. I had replaced them probably 6 months before I went to 35s. They still stop fine as they are...but once they wear out I will go with the Black Magic Pads and Centric rotors. From what I have heard, this is the best thing you can do before upgrading to the expensive Vanco kits.

Yeah man, he was just kidding you. I thought the thread went nicely actually. It's a good point, and I agree with you. It'd be good if there was a set of "stickies" or something similar in each section that was clearly set off in a way that drew the eye--title it something like "Questions Every Newbie Has." Even if it gets disregarded by most new posters, at least it provides something consistent to LINK them to so they can get an answer. As it stands, most folks asking the common questions (e.g., how big of a tire, what's a rubicon, etc.) just get a handful of snarky comments and sometimes a real answer.

    Hey GoldenSahara00'

I don't think the front drive should rotate while in 2wd drive.
I'm new at Jeeps and just want confirmation my thinking is right and it would be a bonus if you could point me ina direction for a fix. thanks much, keep your wheels down.

I removed mine about 10 minutes after the final coat of liner. Still moist enough to separate easily, but not so moist that it ran. Had no issues at all.

Your method sounds like it worked well for you. Be sure to post up pics!!! Always great to see other people modding their Jeeps!

Glad my threads have helped. They can be rather focused on what I'm doing, but if they help somebody, I'm happy. I haven't done much super tech stuff lately other than lighting changes and the lining of the interior, but hopefully I'll be doing a SYE writeup at some point in the not too distant future.

They are from Toys by Troy. I don't think they're in business anymore. But if you're looking for something similar, Rokmen has a rear corner setup that has rails too. They just don't wrap around like the TbT ones do.

If you have any questions about the prep work for the lining, just let me know. Happy to help if I can!
