    How have you been?
Yes....I went with splines. They are holding up OK..(the do get surface rust).....but if I were to do it again, I would get acorns. However, that is only because I have stock rims, and will probably keep my stock rims for awhile.

One more key item to note. If you are getting the Gorilla sets from Q-tec, the Acorn style lugs come with a much better (black steel) lug key. The splines come with a chromed key, which isn't a strong. Something to keep in mind if you are using air tools. You don't want to split the key

If I was a betting man, I would say yes.

I think the one out of a Ram 1500 has green back lighting but also auto updates.

Flip a coin on those... Really depends on if you want the splash screen and anti-theft, or the green backlighting. I'm sure either will work just fine. I'd like to find one out of a Ram 1500. I'm curious to know if it is possible to get one with green backlighting, updating splash screen, AND (if possible) anti-theft.

Also, in the future...if you want input, send me a true PM. The conversation format (which we're in now) limits how I can reply...the PM does, as well, but I can ramble a lot more, which I've found is usually a benefit for peeps wanting information.

Hey man...sorry, been traveling for awhile, and haven't checked in here lately. NBA/NHL season...busy.

My advice is, choose the tire/wheel combination you think will work best for what you wanna do with your Jeep. I know nothing at all about the BFG Rugged Trail, but don't go with them because a guy at a friend's shop likes them.

As for the 265/285 argument...for a DD, exclusively, I'd go with the lightest tire that'll work in the conditions you expect to drive in. Make sense?

I bought the DuraTracs specifically because of their ability to provide traction in snow and slick conditions, their weight, and their road longevity. If crawling rocks had been a consideration, I wouldn't have bought them, since most versions have a relatively weak sidewall.

Buy what works for you, and what you think will look good on your rig. If your wife's gonna be the primary driver, then go with what she likes.

    I sent a few Pic's to your e-mail.
    What wheels/tires did you get?
It's amazing how much different/better it looks with just wheels/tires.
Got any Pic's of your Jeep????

I've been away for awhile. I'm not on here much when the weather is nice outside.
OK, I finally have some pictures.
I haven't figured out how to attach them to a private message.
I can email them to you, or I can post them in my Jeep Profile.

You really should do the lift to go up in tire size. I wouldn't say you're stuck but it would be best to do at least a Budget Boost on it. They're pretty cheap. I've done them before just when I needed a little extra. In 07 on my 1st 4 door I did one just I could run SnowShoe Jeep Jamboree. I was still on 32's (BFG KM) at the time.
