Hey Matt, I don't know why this just popped into my head, but I meant to mention to you, that I noticed when we were bleeding the air out of your steering system, that you front brake hoses rub pretty badly on your shocks. I'm not sure if they are installed correctly, or if possibly the right line is on the left side and vice versa. Either way, it is something you should keep an eye on, so if they start to chafe, you are on top of it. You may want to wrap the brake hoses with something like a small diameter heater, or fuel line hose to give it more protection where it rubs.

guess i did that wrong ....posted to the general forum when I thought I was sending only to you...no big deal ....I do think I'll take your advise and go with the 4.3 ...that's the only way I'm going to be happy. New engine, new tranny, and gearing if someone tells me that I have to. I'm not sure what i have right now ...it would be whatever came from the factory ..as the previous owner drove only highway miles and was not into "getting it dirty'!!

Saw a pic of your rig and it reminds me a bit of my own. Your profile listed something about Iowa; are you from Iowa? I moved here from IA to CO about a year ago.

Hey man, I'm about to buy a red 2.5L 4 cyl tj, manual, just like yours. I'm wondering if a 3 inch or 4 lift with 33's will be too much for the stock 4.10 gears... Could you help me out? Also could you send me any pictures? Mxdecker@yahoo.com Thanks man!
