JDsDream Glad to hear that it was found. That's pretty much unheard of around here.

joebacca66 DPD found it. Minus wheels and tires, and the back window was broken out. I don't really understand the back window, maybe this was how they got in? Didn't want to get cold/draw attention with a broken side window?

joebacca66 Luckily yeah, and they're going to pay for a rental until things are sorted out. I'm more upset about some of the stuff I had left in there, had my hiking daypack/boots, hockey bag and a bunch of my textbooks and my new winter coat.

I have two exams this week, so the timing couldn't really be any worse.

Hopefully it shows up and some of my stuff is still inside. If not, insurance pays me in a month and I'll be driving something new. Guess things could be worse.

Lawngnome Will you insurance take care of this?
01-23-2011 02:23 PM
joebacca66 I'll comb through my pictures, but I don't think I really have any. Black with hard doors/hard top. Will be pretty salty unless they have washed it. No extra lights, stock bumpers. Paint is coming off door handles and mirror brackets. I replaced the wheels a few years ago, can't remember what kind they were even (nothing huge or flashy), they're the only big non-stock thing about the appearance. Tried to keep it low key so it might not be so attractive to thieves. guess that didn't work so well.

I have a feeling it's sitting on blocks in an abandoned lot somewhere missing wheels and the cat.

WRANGLER THEFT (Downtown Detroit)

Been a bit of a lurker, but just registered to post this. Wanted to put the word out that my 2001 black wrangler sport/black hard top was stolen downtown on Friday night.

MI plate (bridge) 6HAZ32

Pretty stock, Detroit Yacht Club sticker on the windshield.

If anyone knows anything or sees it please let me know cmdionneATgmailDOTcom

Thanks all
