Jeff, did you have help or try to do it yourself? Removing the hard top is much more difficult than installing/removing the soft top for sure. It is bulky and not light...

|JeeperJake||Both tops came with mine. I doubt I'll ever use the soft top. The freedom top is one of the big reasons I bought the Wrangler.|

I just did a swap this weekend, changing out the hard top for the soft top.
It was an awful experience.
To be fair, I've done it once before and while it wasn't fun, it wasn't nearly as painful as this time. This time, in an attempt to make things a bit easier, I ended up making things worse and it resulted in some scratches on and around the tailgate and a gouge in the hardtop itself.
It is NOT something I'll be doing regularly.

|InfernoGirl||Swapping tops is easy. 6 bolts hold on the hard top, but it's awkward so get a buddy or two to help lift it off and store it. Once the soft top is assembled 4 bolts hold it on to the roll bar brackets. Leave it assembled and remove the frame and all. Folded it's not hard to handle. It's not too heavy and can be installed/removed alone. The door surrounds must be removed to install the hard top.|

Ok, so I have looked at a Cj, a couple of yj's, and 2 tj's and have FINALLY bought a jeep. 2010 wrangler sahara (2dr) brand new. Got a deal since it was last years model and now am waiting for it to arrive from about 600 miles away! The one i purchased is a hard top model. I will be ordering a soft top this week. So the simple question: How hard will switching back and forth from hard to soft top be? For example: does the bar in the back that holds the soft rear window have to be removed along with the door surrounds in order to reinstall the hard top? Every jeep that I've ever had any thing to do with has had a soft top. I realize the hard top will be more work than a soft, however looking for advise for someone who has done the swap or that does the swap regularly. And about how much time (or beer if that's how you measure) am i looking at to swap the tops?
Thanks in advance.
