XHD Bumper Winch Install - Help?

Quick question to any folks out there with an XHD Modular bumper that have installed a winch...or maybe anybody else who has ran into a similar issue. I just got done mounting a Superwinch EPi9.0S to the bumper and there is like 1/8" between the front of the winch and the bumper, leaving no room for the bolts that mount the fairlead. Anybody run into this and what did you do? I've got a couple ideas but I'm not sure what I'm going to do quite yet.

1) Find a super low profile bolt head to fit in there...and maybe grind that bolt head down until it fits if it doesn't fit as is...

2) Chop the bolt head off OR find some threaded rod and trim and weld that to the bumper leaving the studs sticking out the front.

Any other ideas? Tie it on with old shoestings?

Thanks!
