ghendrix6 Is there a breaking point that determines when new shocks or shock adapters should be considered? I am fixin to install the Tereflex 2" leveling kit (2 inch front and 1 inch rear).

I have read that a 2.5 inch lift needs shocks and I believe I read where smaller (leveling kits) do not need shocks.

So, where should the line be drawn for adding shocks to your lift?

Hilldweller Yes you should get new shocks; they also have shock extensions but I'm not a fan at all. The dynamics of the Jeep are changed by a puck lift ---- you effectively preload the springs and better dampers are called for.

The puck lift is limited in terms of articulation compared to a spring lift, regardless of whether you use shock extensions or longer shocks. It's the puck and new bumpstops that do it.
It will flex well enough for most situations though; it's a Jeep.

JRickW I'm considering the same thing but I have a non-rubi. Also, is the travel limited with standard shocks with extenders. I would hate to add lift and then not get full travel.
