409biscayne Thanks for the warm welcome , looks like a good bunch of guys . Spent most of today cleaning up / sorting out the jeep , prev owner wasn't much of a mechanic ( doctor) . The only surprise was the steering box , it's leaking pretty good at the seal . Gotta get that service manual . Later ..............409

khenderson welcome aboard. if you ask nicely, a dealer might even just give you a manual. a friend of mine got hers at a dealer and they just handed it to her, so boobs might help, but it never hurts to ask! and keep that in mind as you hang out here. lots of good guys with some good info for ya!

1BLKJP Hey there welcome to the world of jeeps. Your gonna love it. Like the others said about the manual that will be your best source of that type of info. There is also a lot of good sites on the web that are full of these types of things. One in particular is a local guy here in Phoenix. www.stu-offroad.com Stu has a ton of great maintenance info for Wranglers on his site.

bluvikng Welcome to the world of Jeep'n, and the WF. Glad to have you on board. A lot of good people on this forum, with a lot of experience. The owners manual, if you got one, will be a good start on service intervals, types of fluids to use, etc. If you didn't get one, just call Chrysler/Daimler Corp. and tell them the year of your wrangler, and they will send you one cheaper than anyone else. I had to do that with ours too. Hope you enjoy your Jeep'n as much as the rest of us have, and will continue to do.

Just wanted to say hi , bought a 98 wrangler yesterday . 4.0 5 speed , sport , soft top , 100k , totally stock . So i should have lots of questions on parts / maintenance , etc. First thing i need to do is clean this baby up , and change out all the oils , so any advice will be appreciated . What is the best service / repair manual available . Thanks in advance
