gus54 No problem! You might tell him that if he gets a 2" - 2.5" suspension lift and just adds another 1.25 body lift he could fit 33s right away. This will also allow him to get a tucked up t-case skid later on. After he gets the 31s he will want 33s anyway. And then 35s...37s....

31s and a 2" lift is perfect for a TJ. Actually he could go with 32s. Is it a TJ? He may need wheels with about 4" of backspacing to prevent rubbing the CAs at full lock though. Maybe not.

Lift question

I think a buddy of mine is about to waste a bunch of money by putting on too large of tires. He is getting a 2" lift and wants to put 31" tires on. If he were driving it around town I think it would be fine, but he plans to go offroading with it and I think that when the wheels travel or when he turns the steering wheel too far the tires will rub. Is he making a mistake or will he be okay?
