RIpPeR Hmmmmmmm? No lockers. I knew it was identicle to my '99, aside from the tranny, so I thought that could be the reason. Don't suppose this O/D switch would have anything to do with it either then?? Didn't have that on the old TJ...

Jerry Bransford Your 05 has the exact same 4x4 system that your 99 did and your automatic has nothing to do with how its steers. Perhaps your 05 has lockers and you have the lockers engaged?

Binding in 4-high??

First brand new car was a 93 YJ...then a 99 TJ...now I'm in my 3rd Jeep (2005 TJ) but this is the first automatic I've owned. Dealing with slippery/icy conditions last few days and have noticed how easily the steering binds on my new Jeep while locked in and turning. Is this due to the fact that its an automatic?? My other Jeeps didn't bind as easily or quickly as this one...
