|tjk1983||Since the wiring harness was installed, I have not had a problem since July. Been driving it pretty frequently too.|

Well first the key light is an anti-theft device and if it cant read the computer chip in the key then it will kill the engine and the light will stay on.
As for the cam shaft position sensor, if it didnt fix it, then that wasnt the problem. As for the dealer, I really dont know the policy for them fixing the wrong thing, I do everything myself for this exact reason, and if i dont know how, i figure it out.
Did the wiring harness fix the problem? If not, with your symptoms, it sounds like an alternator going, with the electrical problem on the dash, not starting, and rough running can all be because of the alt.

Am I getting ripped off???
Love this site. So helpful. I had a problem over the summer. Was driving down the road and all the sudden lost all power. Wouldnt start back up. Only light on the dash was the one that shows the keys(not sure what it is). Took it to the shop. They fixed the cam shaft position sensor. Sound right?
Then 2 days later driving down the road, same problem. This time took it to the jeep dealer. Said I needed a new fuel pump. 800 dollars later. I take it home. Ok for now.
Drive down the shore about an hour, stay the night and the following morning same problem on my way to work. This time engine cranked but ran so rough the truck was actually shaking. Took it right back to the dealer.
They tell me I need a new wiring harness for the fuel pump. There is an electrical short. OK pay for that.
Im no mechanic but shouldnt i have been refunded for the fuel pump since it did not solve the original problem. That was a big chunk of change.
Have tried contacting the customer service and had no help. Said they refund the tow and got nothing so far
