Awsome!! Here in VA after 20 or 25 year old vehicle it doesn't have to get emissions test anymore. But where i live i still don't have to do it.

Undead-89 The auto locking hubs use the Vacuum system to engage.

Undead-89 We stopped emissions testing years ago and now they are restarting again. Means i need to keep all 14 of those damn vacuum hoses intact.

mameyj 87 yj 4.2. Only distributor advance, brake booster and Pcv valve.

n2trucking Yes my 1990 with MC2100, nutter bypass runs with only vacum booster and distributor and pcv. Runs really good. Better than with all that shit vacum stuff and carter carb.

89JEEPYJ i have the HEI kit, i just have no computer or anything since i ripped it all out. it has a slot for a vacuum advanced but the truck wont run with it on

Draco Mine has vacuum adv but no vacuum booster....you must have the spring weights for advance
02-06-2011 11:54 AM
89JEEPYJ the only neccasary vacuum i have on my truck is for the brake booster. The rest of it is just vent hoses for the motor and stuff like that. i dont have a vacuum advanced or anything like that

Draco In KY we don't do "VET" testing anymore......or any emissions testing for that matter

scott howard depend on how tight your state is when getting it inspected.
but the only vacuum lines i have on mine is for the timing vacuum advance, pcv.
that is all that is needed to make the motor run.

Vacuum?

I just finished rebuilding my 90 4.2 and got it back in, now I'm left with the vacuum. Before I tore the engine out the vacuum was Lmost non existing so I'm just starting from scratch. My question is what is nessasary and what's not? vacuum advance is, I know but are there things not needed?
