Goofyjumper NICE 6 and great job on the restoration! They are by far the best jeeps for off roading! You are lucky you got to start with one, I had to convert my 5 to a 6 so I could have mine.

Coffeeman Isn't it great the way a Jeep looks as good when covered in mud as when clean. Great looking Jeep, sir. I look forward to the day I will be able to start such a project.

brannon502 It's PPG Carmel pearl metallic. A few things left on the to-do list: spare tire, winch, and safari rack for those long trips.

BPJOOP93 that looks great. what paint and color is that?

brannon502 As far as the interior I'm leaving it in just bedliner. Racing harnesses will be here tomorrow. Still need to hook up the parking brake and add padding to the cage JUST ABOVE MY HEAD.

brannon502 Well I figured out why my steering was so squirrly. The new caliper on the right side was stuck, go figure. Drives great now. Getting the rollbar built on the 24th. I built a metal glovebox, installed the side mirror, an made some cables for the tailgate. I can't wait to take it wheeling.

brannon502 It does good up to around 60 but any higher you just have to pay attention. Building the rock sliders today.and fixing the Speedo cable.

My TJ doesn't take to hi speed all that well either, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Oh ok. Btw, great job with that jeep!

brannon502 When I first got the 6 I thought it was weird looking too. But after awhile it just grows on you. The only bad part is that EVERYBODY you see has to ask what it is.but there is a coolness factor just because you don't pass one every day on the road.

kmanator Nice build man! I had a '67 cj5 with the buick engine and feel that is a perfect engine for the cj's.My buddy back in '83 had a cj6 rotting away in his side yard and always though it looked weird...I would love to have it today for the stretched wheelbase and coolness factor.

DeepSouthJeeper I thought by '68 they had roll bars from the factory?

brannon502 I got little more done today. Finished installing the lights, put Bedliner on the upper rails, and got license plates. Tomorrow it goes in for an alignment.
