I'd check into some shallow mount subs...you'll lose very little space with one or two of those. Elemental Designs SQ10's I think require only a 3" mounting depth. Those are just the ones I'm familiar with...there's quite a few options out similar to that.

|Pmedg||I like the idea of a console sub. can you use the stock center console and cut it to fit a 10" sub, or would i have to buy a new one?|

|Ibuildembig||A console single 10 is a good choice, or a removable bazooka is what my old man likes. You can also raise the rear seat up a couple of inches and gain enough room for a flat piston sub.|

|Pmedg||hmmm...what would you recommend to get more bass, and still have it hidden, as i don’t want to lose space. Under the front seat woofer mount? Or are my goals unachievable?|

|Ibuildembig||I have heard several and IMO they sound like crap and you have to destroy your seat to do it.|

|Pmedg||I'll have to look into it. I'm hoping 12's will fit (not sure though as they arent shallow mount). but i suppose i could always sell the 12's in the box w/ tweeters and buy 1 10 and an amp to intall in the seat.|

I've seen this discussed by a member here before. You should be able to do a search in this section and find it.
There are some YouTube videos also that show subs built into the rear seat.

Subwoofer built into rear seats
I have been researching creating a subwoofer box that will fit into the rear seat of my 98 TJ and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? I like the idea of the woofer being hidden and not taking up any space. at home i have a box w/ 2 12" MTX 6000 woofers in it. i was hoping to get some advice from anyone who has attempted this or seen it to let me know what they thought of the process and end result. here is the link that got me thinking about this project. does this seem to be more effort than it is worth, or something that would make sense?
