NAPA, RockAuto, Advanced, Checker, etc...they're pretty common.

juan_p__m Oh great advice on the puller, will look into making one, just read on the poly, sen shivers down my spine, wears out the mounting points of the bushings, will send it back if possible, wish I had asked beforehand, does the dealer or napa sell the clevite bushing?

UnlimitedLJ04 you don't want poly bushings...they cause control arm mounts to rip off, they squeek, and they wear out much faster than the stock Clevite bushings.

Replace the bushings with the stock Clevite style, they're good stuff

as for getting the Clevite's out, you can press them out with a ball joint press and some scrap pieces of pipe to retain the stamped arm's shape.

I made a small press for doing front uppers, out of all-thread and a piece of 3" OD Schedule 40.

juan_p__m Was told might distord the metal, don't want to take that chance, i would love just to burn it out, trust me, an hour on the vice, damaging sockets, just wanted to set the thing on fire!

distortedtj Fire....and do it outside...the fumes are not good.

Really....burn them out, it's quick and easy. You can pick up little propane tankes and torch ends for them at walmart or any hardware store cheap.

Bushings, bushings, bushings!

Small wandering on my all stock 98, no vibration, decided to change all bushings on all trailing arms and track bars with polyurethane, just changed the dampener with a skyjacker.
Just took off the front trackbar, any advice on how to remove all these bushings easily?
