GrnTJ Id suggest goin to 4.88's with a 2.5L. I've got the 4.0L and Im still on 4.88's and I love the ratio.

kg4kpg I've ran 70 and even 80 on the freeway (until the wind blew from the front). 2.5l, 33's, 4.10's. Hopefully this time I will be able to get rid of the 4.10's and swap in 4.56's. Anyway, once you get used to it you don't really notice it.

debruins you have mad torque so dont worry about that, it is the top end speed you have to worry about, unless you regear your top end will be around 60, but thats shifting up and down depending on the wind and the slope

GrnTJ Haha, well it certainly wouldnt be 45 mph but you would loose yourself some top end unless you properly re geared to compensate for the lost power.

my friend was telling me

that if i were to lift and put 33" tires on my 2.5l jeep, the engine wouldn't have enough torque to turn them properly and i would probably max out at about 45. is this correct?
