whiteyj Not likely to trade it in on a new Jeep. Hell the new one would still have Torx fasteners.

I've been looking at various drill bits. Cobalt being one. On another site they were talking about using masonary bits at slow speed to drill through hardened steel.

Nothing sticking out far enough to drop even a tack on.

Thanks for the input!

dos0711 If you have a welder, weld a nut to the top of it and use a wrench.

mmasuperman12 cobalt drill bit will drill it out hell it drilled my studs on my wheels out but make sure you use a few sizes smaller bit to start then work yer way up to the size you need. after that....good luck

So I alrady know I screwed but looking for any new ideas. Trying to remove the windshield to hinge bolts. Pass side torx stripped so I drilled through and proceeded to break off a screw extractor. Several drill bits later drilled through again and proceeded to break off the next size extractor.

Any ideas? Local auto parts sent me home with a cobalt tipped bit but I'm not holding my breath.
