medic76 thanks for all the help. I am going with the 2" coil lift and some new shocks. I think it would be smarter to save the extra $$ and have a better ride. I'll take some before and after picks once I start and get it finished, but it wont be for aboout another month before I do. thanks again for all the help.

Triple88a medic76 There is no difference between a 2" BB lift and 2" Coil lift besides the new coils vs old ones + pucks, so what you know about bb.. coil lift will be the same as long as its the same height.
07-29-2007 11:31 PM
medic76 Another question. Will I have to drop my trans case with the coil Lift and is there any thing elses that I might need besides shocks. when I due this?
07-29-2007 11:29 PM
medic76 That is what I will probley do is spend the extra $$ and that way it will be better.
thanks for the advise.

GrnTJ Id say get the better kit. You'll like it WAY better in the long run.
07-28-2007 09:35 PM
debruins why give your self an awful ride and a less complete kit for only $100 more, i mean save up an extra two weeks and get better quality!
07-28-2007 09:04 PM
medic76 I am just wanting a little more ground clearence and some bigger skins. thanks for all the advise. I have decides on either the rustys coil lift or some skyjackerpoly spring spacers.
07-25-2007 07:40 AM
Noah This seems to be a popular theme here-Rusty's is $350- delivered for the 2'' coil lift..Around $100 more and the ride is alot better, and you are replacing all of your suspension.
x2 on the t-case drop..Read that link and you will be all set.
07-25-2007 06:50 AM

its not even that much more expensive than a BB
07-25-2007 12:36 AM
Triple88a With 2" lift the tcase drop shouldnt be needed but yet again you never know. Dont get the kit though. All you need to do is get some big washers and put them between the frame and the transfer case skid so the skid sits lower.

medic76 I think that I am going to go with the 2in bb but I am going to replace my springs with some stock rubi spring to hopefully take out some of the sag in the front end. I heard that they are stiffer, is that true? and will I need to get a transfer drop kit? also what are a good set of shocks . I found a bb and skyjacker shocks on eby for around 250 shipped. All this help is really helping me thanks a bunch.

Triple88a 1" BL write up..
07-24-2007 09:50 PM
Triple88a You would need to adjust the shifter brackets. (2wd/4Hi/N/4Lo

04blackunlimited No I didnt get a tranny braket. I dont have any more vibrations other than the tire vibration which should be taken care of next week when I get it aligned with the new tires. Do you think after I put the BL on that I would need the other brakets. I didnt think that with just 1" that I would need to adjust anything. I have looked at my directions and they are worthless. Anyone have any helpful hints I'm gonna try to get it done tomorrow in a couple hours.

Did you drop the tranny at all with that RE? Do you have any vibes? If so i'd get a MML also since both BL and MML together will go easier and also remove the vibes so you can try running it with out the tranny drop.

Triple88a again i got my 2" bl from ebay.. cheap and good quality. Instructions sucked but i just used other instructions from another bodylift that i got from here (wf)..
07-24-2007 01:22 AM
GrnTJ x2 Im gettin 35's real soon here with the bl. Then comes my Tera Belly up skid and TW driveshaft and SYE. Money, money, money...stupid green paper!!
07-24-2007 01:01 AM
Triple88a well thats how it is.. dd.. me too.. darn jeep bugs man.. they are eeating me alive i wanst planning on going more than 33s with 3" of lift.. now i want 35s.... so many things pulling me everywhere lol
07-24-2007 12:25 AM
medic76 Right now all I am looking for is just a little more ground clearance. and to add mabe some 32's for tire size. I don't plan on going any higher since it is my dd. but we all know how that jeep thing works.

Triple88a The shift linkages came with my bl that i got from ebay.. it went so smooth i didnt think a bl would be that easy.

95 bucks shipped to my house..
07-23-2007 11:41 PM
GrnTJ I figured most people would be. Im actually surprised to went 2" wiht it but I can understand. Its a cheap and easy way to lift. Id just be worried about the shifting linkage and what not. Personally Im gonna go with the JKS 1.25" bl and raised motor mounts. It should do for me what I need it to (clear some 35's and allow em' to flex a bit) along with the lift I already have.
07-23-2007 11:37 PM
Triple88a ^ 2x... many people here are completely agains any bl over 1.5

2" is the max i'd recomend my self.. thats why i went with 2. For anything above quite more stuff is needed to be modified for such a difference.
07-23-2007 11:26 PM
GrnTJ I wouldnt suggest going much taller than 2" of body lift though. I ahve heard of some pretty horrible stories when it gets over 2".
07-23-2007 11:07 PM
Triple88a ^ sort of gotta think forward first.. if you want some lift for now and would want to go bigger later than bb would be good.. if u plan on not going bigger than get a coil lift as Nicolas-Eric said above. I planned on going bigger so i just got a 2" Bodylift first since its cheap and its a lift to get the bugs spreading and now i just ordered 3" more of suspension lift to add on to the Bodylift so it should get me rolling on 5".
07-23-2007 10:33 PM
nicolas-eric do it once - do it right.

better buy a cheap (rusty and others) 2" spring lift than a budget boost.
07-23-2007 10:13 PM
Triple88a ^ 2X

I was considering the 3" rustys but now ended up getting 3" FT lift since it comes with track bar. The track bar ends up being around 100 bucks with that lift and i want to replace since my stock one since it's worn out and makes popping noise at the ball joint.
07-23-2007 09:30 PM
mrbigjeep rusty's 2" is a good kit. nice option to consider.
07-23-2007 12:36 PM
Walkeraviator You could also look at the Rustys 2" coil kit... there are a few of us on here that are all consodering that option.
07-23-2007 12:23 PM
04blackunlimited BDS suspension sells a 2" coil kit with shocks. Might want to check on that before you try the BB..
